Solskjaer warns Man Utd stars Greenwood wants their shirt after European heroics

OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has warned Manchester United’s established stars that Mason Greenwood is after their first team places  The 17-year-old scored his first competitive goal for the club in only his second start to beat Astana in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday night  And Solskjaer said: “It’s always hard to keep players who perform well out of the team If he keeps scoring goals, he’ll play.”  With Anthony Martial still out injured for Sunday’s trip to West Ham it will be tempting for Solskjaer to keep Greenwood in  With goals at a premium and Romelu Lukaku not replaced he is certainly a much needed addition to the first team squad after rising through the club’s Academy  He is the instinctive goalscorer the club lack, as Marcus Rashford once again missed chances on Thursday night – but Solskjaer was quick to jump to his defence  He said: “He’s getting the chances. Of course he could have had three but the keeper made a few fantastic saves  “I don’t worry about that, no. We’re working every single day in training with Marcus He wants to improve, wants to be better.  “He is still young, he’ll improve. You won’t hit your peak as a striker until you’re 26 or 27 He’s still learning what finishes to make in different circumstances.” BUILD FROM THE BACK  While there are concerns up front, Solskjaer is happy with what is happening at the back as the team chalked up a second successive clean sheet  He said: “We’ve had two clean sheets now, that’ll give the defenders confidence  “If we can keep a clean sheet, it’ll be easier for the strikers. You don’t have to score twos, threes and fours every time ”  United will be looking for their first away win since February when they make the trip to London this weekend, but Solskjaer says that stat does not concern him  He said: “Why should we coaches be concerned? We’re looking forward to things, looking for solutions I’ve never been concerned about anything really.  “I don’t walk around and worry about things I’m looking what we can do to improve. I’ve never been a worrier. ACCA WITH LADBROKES Pick up a whole load of acca features to help you land the big one  “I think we should’ve won at Southampton, I think we should’ve won the Wolverhampton one Both should be wins. It’s still the same size pitch, green with white lines, some fans  “You’ve got to block out the mental part and play as you would in the park.”  As well as Martial both Paul Pogba and Luke Shaw will be missing again while Daniel James will have a late fitness test Ole Gunnar Solskjaer praises young Man Utd star Mason Greenwood after grabbing Europa League winner against Astana
