How to Iron Men’s Dress Shirts : How to Prepare Men’s Dress Shirts for Ironing

Hello, I’m Donna Beth Joy Shapiro on behalf
of ExpertVillage.com and today I’m going to show you how to iron a shirt. In this clip,
we are going to talk about how to prepare to iron a man’s dress shirt. If possible,
it’s best to spray the shirt the night before like this, or take it out of the dryer while
it’s still slightly damp. You want to spray it as much as you can, but don’t make it wet,
just damp. Then you roll it up in a ball and if you are going to wait until over night,
put it in a plastic bag and stick it in the refrigerator so that it doesn’t get moldy.
If you only have half an hour or fifteen minutes, that’s fine; just ball it up and put it aside.
It allows the water to permeate the fabric. If you need to iron a shirt in the spur of
a moment, you can do that too. You could spray it or you could just go right ahead and use
your steam iron. If you are using spray starch, that certainly will give it enough dampness
to get the wrinkles out effectively. Thanks for watching.
