Crochet Breeze Cardi : Part 1 ( Free written pattern for sizes XS – XXL )



hello everyone welcome back to my Channel today I will show you guys how to crochet a breeze cardi it's fairly cute really easy to make and it's perfect for spring summer and fall okay and I also have free written pattern for size extra small co-op to double XL it's available on my blog but if you prefer PDF printable version is available for purchase on my Etsy shop and my rabri store and for this tutorial I will show you in size small and it's gonna be the part one okay I hope you enjoy here is the materials that I use for this project so first of all I want to say thank you to my friend she just sent me this yarn ok thanks and yeah this is what I use ship G Sunkiss so this is fingering weight yarn superfine number one okay so for the size small I use seven skins but not the whole seven scheme this is the seventh skin and this is what I have left and of course every sizes are different okay and this is 100% cotton and here it the color Cee Lo's – okay and in crochet hook side three point five millimeters scissors your needle and stitch markers and please go check in description below for more details okay let's talk about the pattern a little bit here so for this cardi you're gonna make five separate pieces okay and then sew them together later and we have a back panel here and then two front panel make exactly the same and then two sleeve panels and make exactly the same okay so all of this panels is the same pattern okay it's just different with the chain when you start because it's a different length this pin with okay so other than that is the same pattern so let's talk about the back panel first so for the back panel so we will start the back panel first and we can ashame and the chain that we make gonna be the width of the cardi the width a cloth okay not around across back okay and then the road that we make gonna be the length of the cardi okay if you want longer keep repeating Morrow's if you want shorter make less row totally after you and then finish the back panel we cut the yarn don't need to leave a long tail for the back panel and then we come back to the front panel and then also the front panel we're gonna make the chain so for the back panel let's say we make just put in okay let's say we make one hundred chain we want the front panel is half of that so 100 divided by two like that so we want that number to be do the width of the front panel because you're gonna make two separate like this okay when you lay out like this you want the same width of the back panel all right no space in the middle that's what I designed this pattern to be so yeah anyway it's the same pattern Shane here and then keep repeating row over and over but we want the length for the front panel to be the same length at the back panel okay and after you're done you're gonna leave a long tail for the front panel to sew the front panel into the back panel so both make the same for this to front panel make exactly the same okay and after that we're gonna make the sleeve and the sleeve start make from here in the chain and I would tell you exactly how many chain you need to make and it's the same pattern again and you can repeat that over and over and then the Morrow's you make gonna be the more long of your sleeve again if you want longer sleeve keep repeating morrow if you want shorter make less row and then at the end you're gonna leave a long tail again so you can use that tail to sew into the back and the front panel later here okay and make to exactly the same and when you have all the pieces you're gonna put the back panel and then the front panels lay like this and then you're gonna use the long tail that you left earlier for the front panels so they show the seam right here so so the back and a front panel together like this on the wrong side okay and then after that you will put the sleeve here right on the middle of the shoulder seam here and then use the long tail that you left earlier so into that piece all right and I can fold the sleeve I'm not increased or decreased its straight sleeve okay and after you saw everything you can afford it in half ideas okay and then the flip should be like this okay and then after that you can cut a new strain of yon along a long tail so enough to solve the side of the cardi and in their sleep down to the cuff here okay same at this side so from the bottom here cut the new strand of yarn all the way up so all the way up until you reach the amputee and so all the way down till you reach the end of the sleeve both sides are the same and we were so on the wrong about the gauge swatch first okay okay let's talk about a cage so I recommend you guys to make a gauge swatch first okay and then block it so you can block it by using a iron with a low heat or you can steam it or you can watch it with the warm water okay so for me I just watch it with the warm water and let it sit let it dry and then I measure the cage so this one I already watch it okay so I will show you what it's my cage okay I will use measuring tape to show you better to see it in this one okay so we cannot talk about the stitch pattern repeat first which is gonna be the width of your PO check okay so six stitch pattern repeat is equal four inches so one pattern repeat is three double crochet and one chain there is one pattern stitch repeat so six absord is four inches alright I'll show you how I measure it so you can measure anywhere you like I can imagine right here so you see this chain one here and three double crochet that is the first stitch pattern repeat and chain 1 3 double-crochet that is the second stitch pattern repeat chain 1 3 double-crochet that is the third pattern stitch repeat chain 1 3 double-crochet is the 4th patterns that repeat chain 1 3 double-crochet de is the fifth pattern stitch repeat and chain 1 3 double-crochet is the sixth pattern stitch repeat ok so see 6 stitch pattern repeat is equal 4 inches all right and then for the row hundred and five chain that is multiple of four plus one all right and for the other panels are the front panels the sleeve panels and in the back panel are the same multiple of four plus one alright so this one is back panel first so like I said I can make one hundred and five chains so one two three four five okay keep making machine and I will be back when I have one hundred and five chains make sure don't make your chain too tight okay now I have one hundred and five chains the swords look like and then for Row one Canobie the right side for the art number oak and a be the right side and for the even number all gonna be the wrong side okay so Row one right side and then I gonna skip 3 chain stitch and then make one double crochet into each of next 2 chain alright so I skip one two and three and then into the next which is the first chain from the hook I can make one double crochet in there and I always like to go into the little bump on the back of the chain stitch but if you prefer go into the normal chain stitch you can do that as well this is up to you okay so I can I yarn over skip three insert the hook into the next which is the four chain and I said I go into the little bum here on the back of the chain a little difficult the first time okay I said the hook put our loop three loops on my hook I can a yarn over pull through two loops and then yarn over pull through the last two loops this is the triple crochet and the foot three chain that we skip it's cow it's one double crochet so now I have two double crochet okay and then I gonna make one double crochet into the next chain here so yarn over insert hook into the next chain again I go into the little bump on the back of the next chain here so pull up a loop yarn over pull through two loops yarn crochet into the next okay and then repeat that chain one skip the next chain one double crochet into each of next 3 chain so yarn over skip the next into the hook into the next double crochet and then double crochet into the next it's a little bit difficult to go into the little bump of the chain but it's look good so okay double crochet and then double crochet into the next right here okay and then I just gonna repeat that okay and the reason I insert my hook into the little bump on the back of the chain stitch its give me a very nice edge here that's what I like okay that's it whatever you prefer go into the normal chain or go into the little bump alright and I cannot keep repeating this and next I cannot chain one okay and skip one chain and one double crochet into each of next 3 chain and repeat that chain one skip one chain one double crochet into each next three chain repeat that till the end and then at the end you will end up with three double crochet alright and then I will be back I'm at the end of Row one here and you should end up with three double crochet at the end okay and at the end of Row one I have 26 groups of the double crochet stitches and then 25 one chain space I'll show you how to count it okay the three double crochet here is how as one groups okay I can account the double coochie-coo first so this one two three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 and 26 okay I have 26 of the double chain stitches and next I can account the one chain space so this one right here okay 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 and 25 okay I have 25 one chain space so for Row two gonna be the wrong side I canna chain one and turn you can turn first and chain doesn't matter and then the chain one doesn't count at a stitch and then we're gonna make one single crochet into the first stitch right here so I insert the hook into the first stitch here pull up a loop yarn over and pull through this is the single crochet and then I can ashame three one two and three and one single crochet into the one chain space okay remember when they make all one we have chain one space chain one space chain one space and we can a single crochet into that next chain one space right here okay and then chain three one two and three one single crochet into the next chain one space here okay just repeat that chain three one two and three one single crochet into the next chain one space right here repeat that chain three one two and three one single crochet into the next chain one space right here okay just repeat the same chain-3 one single crochet into the next chain one space alright you just gonna keep repeating this next you can ashame three and then single crochet into the one chain space all right and then for Row 3 I gonna chain 3 1 2 3 and turn or you can turn first and chain doesn't matter and in the first 3 chain cow just 1 double crochet okay and then I gonna make 2 double crochet into the first 3 chain space and then enclose the first 3 chain it'll be 3 double crochet all right so a yarn over instead the hook into the first 3 chain space here pull up a loop yarn over pull through 2 loops yarn over pull through 2 loops and then make one more double crochet into the same chain space so you're on or inside hook into the same chain space and make a double crochet see I have three double crochet here includes the foot 3 chain alright and then next gonna be start the repeat pattern which is chain 1 and 3 double crochet into the next 3 chain space yarn over insert hook into the next 3 chain space make double crochet yarn over insert the hook into the same chain space pull up a loop and make a double crochet and then yarn over insert the hook into the same chain space pull up a loop and make a double crochet see now I have 3 double crochet and we can now repeat that chain one three double crochet into the next 3 chain space that is the repeat ok chain one three double crochet into the next 3 chain space so one two and three and repeat that chain one three double crochet into the next three chain space this is the pattern repeat very easy okay and then again repeat chain one three double crochet into the next three chain space really easy guys I'm sure you can do that okay and you can now keep repeating that so next I cannot chain one and make 3 double crochet into the next three chain space and chain one three double crochet into the next three chain space chain one three double crochet into the next three chain space all the way down here alright and then I will miss you cabbage in when you have the last three chain space left alright okay now I have one three chain space left okay and then after I make chain one here and then I gonna make two double crochet into that three chain space so yarn over insert the hook into the three chain space and make double crochet and then yarn over insert the hook into the same space and make a double crochet and then I can make one double crochet into the single crochet stitch here just to make the panel straight okay so yarn over insert hook into the single crochet here right here and make a last double crochet so see we have three double crochet in here alright and then the end of Row three I have 26 of double crochet groups and 25 of the one chain space you count the same when you count the Row one okay and then I cannot repeat Row two and three thirty three more times okay if you want charter you repeat less than that and if you want longer keep repeating Row two and three until you have your desired length okay for me I cannot repeat Row two and three thirty three more times like I told you earlier this pattern is two row repeat which is Row two and three you can now repeat Row two and three two and three two and three over and over all right and I will show you one more time of the pattern row repeat which is row four and five okay so for Row 4 I can now repeat Row 2 which is chain one never cow at a stitch and turn and then make one single crochet into the very first stitch right here this is rofo okay and then chain three one two and three single crochet into the one chain space okay chain three one two three one single crochet into one chain space chain three 1 2 & 3 one single crochet into the one chain space see we make the same as Row 2 exactly the same and then you cannot repeating that chain three single crochet into the chain one space chain 3 single crochet into the one chain space over and over until you reach the end and then for the last single crochet you can make into the third chain alright and I will meet you come back in when you reach the end of row 4 okay I'm at the end of row four here and light old you we're gonna make a last single crochet into the third chain okay so now I already make three chain here and in economic the last single crochet into the 13 right here so here is the first chain here is the second chain okay count from the row one and I will have 16 I rose after I repeat Row two and three thirty two more times and like I said if you want longer keep repeating Row two and three over and over until you don't need to leave a long tail okay we're just gonna leave a long tail in the front panels so I just cut the yarn leave a little bit of tail just enough to weaving the in later okay after I cut the yarn I just gonna put a yarn out like this and I will whip this in later and we done with the back panel okay it's very long all right and next we can make the front panels okay for the front panel I already make one because we're gonna make two exactly the same okay from if you start right here and crochet back and forth is the same pattern when we make the back panel but we just make less chain okay pretty long okay and then the same length of the back panel and then at the end of the front panels we cannot leave a tail leave a long tail just enough to sew the front to the back panel right can make into the 13 okay don't worry I will show you okay now I have one group left one repeat left okay and then next I can assign three one two and three and four the last single crochet we can omit into the third chain okay right here it's at the hook pull up a loop yarn over and pull through this is the last single crochet and the end of row two I have 13 three chain space and then for Row alright I cannot keep repeating that next I canna chain 1 and make 3 double crochet into the next 3 chain space chain 1 make 3 double crochet into the next 3 chain space all the way down to the end and for the last double crochet we can make into the single crochet stitch okay don't worry and at the end at the last chain space I will be back ok now I have one space left and I show you how to do that I'm pretty sure you guys know how to do that but I cannot show anyway ok so up to a chain 1 here I can make 2 double crochet into the next 3 chain space here which is the last space so one and two and then make one double crochet into the single crochet stitch here thank you so yarn over insert the hook into the single crochet stitch right here and make a double crochet to lock the pattern all right okay and I cannot repeat Row two and three thirty three more times total of sixteen I rose and whatever number abroad that you make for the back panel you want the front panel the same length okay yeah for my back panel I make total of 16 arrows so for my front panel I will make total of 16 arrows which is 33 more time repeat Row two and three okay so I show you again row row four we repeat Row 2 which is chain one and turn and single crochet into the first stitch okay and chain three 1 2 & 3 single crochet into this chain one space here and chain 3 1 2 3 and single crochet into the chain one space so chain 3 single crochet into the chain one space right there okay just repeat the same pattern all right so this is Row 4 you cannot keep repeating that to the end and then for the last single crochet you can omit into the third chain okay just to lock the pattern here to lock the panel to make it straight alright after that after you make one single crochet into the third chain and then you can a turn gonna be the row 5 you're gonna repeat Row 3 like I said you can make the same as the back panel if you make the back panel already of course you know how to make your front panel alright and yeah I can repeat Row 2 and three thirty three more times and I will have total of 16 I rose and then I will be back when I reached the end of row 69 and good luck okay after I repeat Row two and three thirty three more time and I have 16 eye rolls now see from here all the way up I have 16 arrows and this is the end of row 69 I already cut the yarn and leave a long tail about 16 to 18 inches just enough to sew the front panel here into the back panel all right and I already cut my yarn here after that I just gonna pull just look put a yarn out like so and I'm done with the front panels and you need two of this so I have one here and one right here exactly the same see exactly the same and leave a long tail at the end same right here alright and after you have your two front panels and next we're gonna make the sleeves okay for the sleeve I already make one because we can make two XL be the same it's the same pattern that we make the back and the front panels same pattern okay so start make the chain from here and then the chain that we make Anna be the width that will go around the arm okay around your arm so this starting array so this is the skip next chain one double crochet into the next three chain and then chain one skip next chain one double crochet into the next three chain until you reach the end and then you should end up with and here is the end of row 43 and after that I cut the yarn and I leave a long tail just enough to sew the sleeve into the back and a front panel ok so I already cut my yarn here I live about 20 22 inches long for the tail ok and after I cut the tail I cannot pull this loop out and we done okay so you need two of this two of the sleep panel and then you cannot leave a long tail exactly the same
